I've dated older people (+5 yrs) and younger (-3). I found them all of similar-ish maturity. Joel is one month younger than me, but some of our Life Experiences happened at different rates and under different circumstances. We're grown up in different ways. And actually we're both about 12 in our minds so it's pretty great.
Also, I never would have guessed your age gap having interacted, briefly, with you guys.
