Neat map-thing [livejournal.com profile] beeweecatcher  posted. Here's mine:

Green: I've lived in
Blue: I've visited specifically for a con
Red: I've driven through it, or stayed for some reason

You can do your own here. Like her I didn't follow this guy's color code.

...I think I need to get out West more.

Green being states I've lived in
Blue being states I've spent at least 1 night in, &
Copper being states that I've only driven through (stopped for lunch or gas)

I need to get further north o.o. And yes, you need to get your butt out west ;)

I'll be out there for FC, but that doesn't count... since I'm flying. Boo.

Man. It's such a shame you haven't been to the Rocky Mountains. I would spend so much time there if I could.

I know! I'm so deprived :( Jay and I joke about moving to Colorado. Though neither of us have been there, so we'd have to visit first, but I don't think I have to worry about not liking it :)

I've spent tons of time in Colorado, fly-fishing most of the river basins there. It is really beautiful, but many of the areas are a bit too developed and upscale for my tastes, like Vail & Aspen. However, there are plenty of areas to hit that aren't. RMNP is great, and the Flat Tops Wilderness area is highly underrated.

For me, I prefer NW Wyoming and western Montana. Just as beautiful and still has more of a wilderness feel. I also really need to check out Idaho more.

Ooh I would love to live in Montana. Jay worries about being too far from a grocery store.. or Best Buy (city boy ;) I'll have to figure out how far is 'too far' at some point. I'd like to have a quiet place :)

Sometime when you can both spare a few days, you should throw some stuff in the car and get on interstate 40 or 70; one of the ones that'll take you straight across the country. It's a beautiful drive and you really get to see a lot
