The Stand by Stephen King, the unabridged version. God damn that was a long book, good though.

Shortest one was probably something in college for my Kid's Book Lit class.

The beginning had me talking to myself for a bit. People have like 3 different names they are referred to as. But as it started coming together I found it quite interesting :) I have enjoyed it

Yeah, it can be a little confusing at the start because so much happens so quickly and you have to remember how characters are referred. I absolutely love the Behemoth character though. So comical.

I really love the philosophical takes on what constitutes good and evil. And while I'm not a particular religious person, I did enjoy the historical references to the forced atheism of the Stalin era in Russia, and it's impact on the people.

I think what I enjoyed most though was the uniqueness of the different characters and the vivid descriptions of Woland's crew & world, particularly the whoel "Devil's Ball" part. It really draws you into the story and let's you picture it in your head.

Oh I loved the Devil's Ball portion! I also liked the stage 'performance' by Woland and his crew earlier in the book :)

Nice review you put together, I think it properly captures and highlights aspects in the book well.
