I keep saying this, but I really -really- need to quit being so lazy and waiting for multiple events to happen before I post about it.
Anyway...
The funeral for my Grandma went about as good as funerals can go. It was good to see all of my extended family and nice to stay at my Grandma’s house, which, has been sold. I think everyone is bitter sweet about the house selling but no one could/would step up to buy the place and everyone’s got funeral expenses to pay off.
One photo I wanted to highlight was all 10 children. 1 being the oldest, 10 being the youngest. My Mom is Mary, #4

I returned to work for only a day before grabbing my 10 pm flight out of Atlanta with Marrow and heading to AnthroCon. I think it was exactly what I needed after the funeral. I got to spent time with a bunch of my friends and I even sat in Artist’s Alley for a few hours and made some money :)
We were back from AC for only about 5 days before
fiskblack and I went to Vancouver for a week to hang with people there and pick up my puppy, Bishop. I got a basic 101 on Bishop’s commands and some time to get to know him before throwing him on plane to come to Atlanta. It was really nice to be able to take a week to spend there, the weather was awesome and I enjoyed my time away from work. Bishop has been adjusting very well to our house. He loves playing with Izzie,
chibi_marrow’s dog, and he is curious about the cats but normally keeps his distance. If he gets too close they let him know, or flee.
Jay’s got photos over on his journal. But here’s the one’s I took:
Little has been going on lately. I was supposed to go home this weekend to watch my Dad race and attend my step-mom’s 60th birthday party out at the lake but after taking 3 days for the funeral I just don’t want to spend the money to fly up there, nor the extra vacation day. So I’m staying here, going to MFF in November (plane tickets pending) and going home around the holidays for about 10 days instead.
I’ve been in a bit of a rut as far as art goes, but I’m slowly working out of it. I’ve got 2 large projects that need starting and I’m unhappy with the roughs I’ve done so far, so I’ve moved onto a few smaller projects to get my art juices flowing.
